for 12th WGET conference.

A new WGET conference is in the planning stage. The meeting will be held in Bangkok, Thailand.
The meeting will bring together representatives from all ASEAN freight forwarders associations.

Trade Facilitation Working Group meeting was held in Manila 20-30 September 2011. AFFA was invited to participate. Important background paper: ASEAN Strategic Transport Plan. ("Brunei Action Plan"). Download the plan here. This plan is part of the development of the ASEAN Economic Community.

The 21th AFFA Annual General Meeting, 2011

27 and 28 October 2011

The 21st AGM was held in Yangon on 27 and 28 October. Representatives from the 10 ASEAN countries came together and discussed issues and strategies related to the freight forwarding industry.

 

The AGM was be preceded by the WGET meeting (Working Group on Education and Training). The WGET meeting is the 11th meeting in succession. In the WGET meeting the training specialists from all National Associations put their heads together to evaluate the work done in the past year planned the strategy and methodology to move forward.
