Message from the Chairman
Greetings from AFFA
It is my pleasure to succeed the second time Chairmanship of AFFA and I would like to warmly welcome you to our website.
As a non-profit organization body in ASEAN, the ASEAN Federation of Forwarders Associations (AFFA) is serving its industry of international transport and logistics as a neutral body. We have been actively promoting transport & logistics development and cooperation in this sub-region, especially well knowing that human resource development becomes a more strategic part and important role at the heart of the industry. We therefore pay high concentration on this HRD in order to reduce the gap of knowledge, and to share experiences among our members to align with the ASEAN logistics roadmap and incoming of ASEAN Economic Community or AEC.
For my 2 year terms I would like to present the following vision as a guideline.
Slogan: Step forward to strengthen our industry in one community
Vision: We will lead the industry to perform high service quality level to our clients in our community and others.
Mission:
- To share our knowledge, experiences and best practices among members.
- Reduce the gap of knowledge in performing international transportation and logistics services.
- Facilitate and enhance of industry service performance.
- Liaison with dialogue partners for technical assistance.
Strategies :
- Starting usage of current AFFA training course (AFFA Diploma program)
- Set up Core Curriculum of logistics and supply chain in ASEAN
- Conduct the Train of Trainer Course
- Set up a Centre Excellence for further research and development
- Liaison with ASEAN Secretariat and government of member states to get rid of constraint and to facilitate the industry
- Liaison with Dialogue partners in the industry outside ASEAN to share and exchange knowledge, experience.
I do hope that our website would be useful tool for you, to be constantly updated and get more understanding of the movement and the activities of ASEAN and AFFA respectively.
