Negotiation Meeting on the Arrangement for Pilot Implementation of the GMS Customs Transit System Along the East-West and North-South Corridors.

From 29 July to 1 August 2008 a workshop was held on the subject of the Custom Transit System (CTS) along the East-West corridor and the North-South Corridor which will be the main routes for transport of goods from Thailand to China via Laos and Myanmar, and from Thailand to Vietnam and China via Cambodia.
This very important meeting was attended by both Customs officials from the countries concerned and also representatives of the private sector, including AFFA members.
The meeting was supported by ADB and UNESCAP.
